Montara spill company can still operate, says Ferguson, as new report warns of industry failings

The company holding the licence to the Montara oilfield won't have its petroleum titles cancelled in the wake of the August 2009 spill, Energy Minister Martin Ferguson said today, while releasing a new report that warns the oil and gas industry must do more to ensure environmental issues are considered in M&A processes.
