A Melbourne council has dropped its appeal against a waste gasification plant, after reaching a settlement on changes to EPA Victoria's approval for the project.
The Victorian government will establish six clean energy zones, allocate $321.7 million to recycling and waste management, and provide $31.2 million to large energy users, according to today's state Budget.
