Coles says a landmark renewable energy condition imposed by Sunshine Coast Regional Council on a proposed new store is 'wholly unreasonable', while it also wants an energy efficiency condition deleted.

Coles Supermarkets is now accredited to create tradable NSW certificates for improved lighting controls and is separately attempting to negotiate terms with a Queensland council that approved a new store on condition that the company source 50% of its energy from renewables.
