The NSW EPA has laid charges against Orica that jointly carry maximum penalties of more than $2 million after August's hexavalent chromium leak from its Kooragang Island ammonia plant, while an chemical discharge yesterday from the same plant prompted a NSW Greens call to revoke the company's licence.
