Transurban today announced it will buy sufficient power from a north Queensland wind farm to meet 80% of the electricity needs of its Brisbane network of roads and tunnels.
The Victorian local government association and 48 councils with a combined annual demand of up to 250GWh are seeking ACCC approval to collectively negotiate to buy electricity and renewable energy certificates.
Highlights include new bills in Victoria, a new WA greenhouse policy and a $263,500 land clearing penalty. Jobs include posts with Alinta, consultancy EY, EPA Victoria and Sunshine Coast Regional Council.
