'Shortcomings' in EPA's greenhouse gas assessment: Appeal ruling

An appeal has identified multiple failings in the Western Australian EPA's assessment of a gas-fired power station proposed by Fortescue, but the state government won't make the agency re-evaluate it.

The appeal is one of the first since the EPA released its greenhouse gas guideline last April, and EPA chair Matthew Tonts told Footprint the agency would consider the lessons learned.
