NSW Government approves coal-fired power plant expansion, despite peer review warning

The NSW Government has approved a $500 million proposal to add 100MW of generating capacity to the coal-fired Munmorah power station and extend its life by 20 years, despite a warning that it is 'significantly below best practice' for coal- and gas-fired technology.
